Early Childhood Education Program
Başkent University Early Childhood Education Program is a 4-year program that offers an education program to develop the knowledge and skills of preschool teacher candidates to support the holistic development of children who have not reached the age of compulsory education.
In this program, prospective teachers learn and practice how to contribute to children's development and learning in psychomotor, social, cognitive and emotional areas with a holistic approach. Within the program, prospective teachers graduate by taking compulsory or elective courses offered by other departments within the Department of Basic Education and other departments within the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
Graduates of the program work as teachers in public and private educational institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education with the title of Preschool Teacher.
Graduates of this program can work as teachers in all public and private educational institutions, as well as in areas such as preparing children's programs for visual and print media and computer programs for children. They can also do academic studies in related departments of the university.
